SCOPE OF WORK
Dynalectric installed two separate 13.5 KV utility services, three major substations, 312 panelboards with over 13,000 circuits, 6,534 computer-programmed general lighting fixtures and truss-mounted high-powered sports lighting fixtures, over 60 miles of conduit and 500 miles of wire, and state-of-the-art scoreboards and graphics.
This project was part of a $110-million, 700,000-square-foot, 20,000-seat multi-use sports and entertainment complex at Ohio State University (OSU). OSU ranks among U.S. News & World Reports' Top 25 public universities and number one in Ohio. Students have received Mellon Fellowships, Goldwater Scholarships, and National Defense and Microbiology
Fellowships. The Council for Advancement and Support of Education ranks the school 15th in fund-raising among the nation's public universities.
To enhance its value to students and the public, the University sought to build a beautiful and unique sports and entertainment venue for its basketball and hockey teams, as well as for
concerts, family shows, and touring productions.
Dynalectric's proven performance building large commercial projects provided a baseline of expertise and experience. In addition, the use of experienced design specialists for efficient high-quality installation, on-site project managers for hands-on problem and conflict resolution, and a large pool of highly trained electricians to maintain the rapid pace of construction all contributed to successful completion. Finally, by identifying scheduling milestones early, the company could firmly establish target dates.
